  • 1.  Remove all Roles and users imported from AD

    Hello All,

    During the initial configuration of our environment, all roles and users were imported from AD, using a resource import rule from the "Actions/Discover/Import from MS AD".

    It caused that Today we have more than 18.000 roles that we dont use and around 50.000 users. Is not a major issue (is specially annoying) except because we cannot edit the Group Everyone. When we click on Everyone group, it cannot be opened, and we receive a time out. We suspect that this is due to a database timeout due to the hige number of roles and users.

    Could someone help us with the massive removal of those roles? ALl of them have something in common, so are easily identifiable. I know how to remove one, getting the rows that I need to remove, but I cannot do that 18.000 times...

    The import rule is deactivated, for sure.

    Hi Pablo Llorente!

    You can use a custom report, where only AD imported or manually created "Security Roles" will be shown (System "Security Roles" are excluded from this report)

    Note: Be careful to choose only required security roles for deletion because there can be custom roles which are used by other accounts to access SMP Console.

    Download attached "AD Imported _Security Roles_.xml" and import this report from SMP Console
