    we've started the installation of 8.5 RU3 12 hours ago and it is still at 15%

    How long did it take to install for you?

    That's excessively long. Is an AV not perhaps scanning during the installation?

    Did you get the install to complete? I just started testing RU3 and found that Bootwiz was stalling my SIM upgrade for 30 minutes before I caught on to it. If you're still re-trying check if bootwiz.exe is running then review the log at \Program Files\Altiris\Deployment\Logs. If it shows the following go delete the ~bootwiz folder in the Temp directory and it'll continue. They're performing a folder delete function but it can't complete because there's a .config file in each location.

    we have the same issue since version8, every RU takes extensive long time, first time insttall is fast, but RU installation takes very long times.

    I have rebooted a test server once after 6 days.

    Somehow I am happy to see this, as so far symantec told me it's just our environmnet and not their software.

    I have spent weeks in investigating this issue, and AV Software seems to have an impact, but I even got this issue on servers which did not have AV Software installed and defender turned off, so there must be another cause too.
