  • 1.  Users not all poiting to new Proxy SG

    Looking for help on how to force all users over to a new ProxySG that was installed on the network.  DNS entries point to new device but a good portion of the users are still pointing to the old Proxy appliance.

    Is there a way to force the users over without powering off the old appliance.  Looks like the users are cacheing the pointer to the old appliance even though the dns is changed and the users PC was rebooted.  Primarily users connect via IE11.

    Hi Farrell,

     

                  IE11 seems to be having some nasty way of caching PAC files or proxy related information. If your DNS name is delivered to the clients via a PAC file, IE11 might be still keeping the old PAC in cache hence some users end up in the old Proxy (as per old PAC).
