  • 1.  BlueCoat ProxySG Office Activation Issue

    Hello
     
    I am very new to BlueCoat ProxySG Product and experiencing MS Office activation issue which is failing with below log.
     
    2018-02-28 05:05:36 3 192.168.1.14 - - authentication_failed DENIED "Office/Business Applications" -  407 TCP_DENIED CONNECT - tcp roaming.officeapps.live.com 443 / - - - 192.168.100.50 296 91 - "Office Online" "none"
    2018-02-28 05:05:51 4 192.168.1.14 - - authentication_failed DENIED "Office/Business Applications" -  407 TCP_DENIED CONNECT - tcp ols.officeapps.live.com 443 / - - - 192.168.100.50 296 83 - "Office Online" "none"
     
    Kindly assist me to identify the issue here.

    Hi Dammz,

     

                  The message shows proxy attempting to authenticate the requests. For testing, you can put a rule to bypass authentication for the testing client IP address towards the Microsoft domains and see whether that fixes the issue.

    Yes after adding a "Do Not Authenticate" rule the activation is working. Please assist.

    Hi Dammz,

     

                  It is possible that the Office Acftivation agent is not supporting proxy authentication. If that is the case, we will have to keep the authentication bypass for those domains.
