    Hi,

I have installed Symantec Protection Engine 7.9 on RHEL successfully with SPE based authentication.

I am able to access the SPE web console screen but I am unable to login to the web console application.

If I give the credentials for the login: Administrator which we provided during the installation, it says Login failed or Symantec Protection Engine server is not running.

I have verfified that the SPE is running on the server.

I have tried to go through the documentation or symantec forums but unable to find any information regarding this issue.

I am unable to proceed any further.

Can you please help me with this.

    Thanks

    Yasir

    Hi

I have the same issue. After several attempts of installation I end up with the same result. The web interface is accessible but when I try to logon, I always get the a. m. message.

Is anybody aware of how to proceed further?

I am running the SPE on a CentOS 7 machine.

    Best regards,

    Sergej

Opening the ports 8004 and 8005 in the local CentOS firewall did it for me:

    firewall-cmd --zone=public --add-port=8004/tcp --permanent

    firewall-cmd --zone=public --add-port=8005/tcp --permanent

    firewall-cmd --reload

After setting the ports , the webinterface is available and you can login with the previously configure password. Remember the default username is Administrator (case sensitive).

    Best regards,
