  • 1.  Sites Report in BlueCoat Reporter

    Posted May 21, 2018 11:52 AM

When generating a Sites Report from the Reporter module, the resulting report list the following information...

    Requests

    Page Views

    Browse Time

What exactly is being calculated in each of these results? What data should be used to determine the exact amount of time a person spent browsing the internet, or viewing a particular site? Have not been able to find any information on this in documentation or support articles.

    Thank You.

    Thank you for that.

So if a sites report indicates 5000 Page Views for usatoday.com, does that mean the user looked at 5000 web pages within USA Today web site?

    And what exactly are requests?

    Hi,

5000 pages views are the outcome of the check done by PVC (Page View Combiner). This also depends on how to much of the requests can be seen completely by the reporter. If it is not able to tag a request as part of an earlier one, the counter will go up by one. SSL-Interception also plays a part if the site is loaded from https. The number that you see against the "Requests" field is the actual requests which the PVC combined to "x" page views
