I need to be able to automate uninstallation of SEP on macOS through Jamf.  Previously, the SymantecRemovalTool script was available for this purpose.  That tool is referenced at https://knowledge.broadcom.com/external/article?legacyId=tech103489, however the link to the tool itself has been removed.  The only link there is to the RemoveSymantecMacFiles tool, which is designed to be run as the logged-in user, rather than deployed using a management tool and run as root.

Is there a working link to download the SymantecRemovalTool please?  Or any other command-line method of removing SEP on a Mac?

Someone has provided me with an offline copy of (what I believe is) the latest version of the SymantecRemovalTool.  However, this will not run on macOS 10.15 Catalina.  If run manually, it tells the user to use the tool from the SEP client instead.

This is not acceptable - we need a method of removing SEP (for troubleshooting or remediating the many issues we are encountering) which we can automate to run at scale.  When can we expect to have a functioning tool available?

I ran into this while troubleshooting the poopshow that is SEP on MacOS. I did this:

    - Cloned this script to stop SEP on Mac: https://gist.github.com/steve-jansen/61a189b6ab961a517f68
    - Stopped SEP
    - Deleted the Symantec Directory in my Applications folder
    - Ran the script which FINALLY worked.

What's up with Symantec's Mac dev? Did she leave?
