  • 1.  SEP clients - definition updates whilst working remotely

    Hi team,

    I'm running SEP 14.x and the clients are configured to look at our internal management server for definition updates however now all the clients are at home they're not getting updates, they don't appear to fall back on looking at Symantec's servers for updates. I assume I needed to configure this myself, what are my options now for the clients which are fairly locked down and I need my home users to receive definition updates. How can I get around this without the computers being on the network?

    Hi, check if your LU policy allows both management server and LU policy. Unfortunately you can't change the policy without SEP clients connecting back to server. For some customers, they allows SEP clients on external network to connect to SEPM via DMZ, Port forwarding/firewall rules to allow incoming traffic.
