    ​Anyone try to download this patch?
    Title say Endpoint Protection 14.3 (14.3.558.0000)
    But download link seem pointing to old patch file. Broadcom has not tested these link before releasing it?

    The 14.3 client patch is not available as of yet. Client patches usually are available a week or two after full release.

    After you click on client only patch, it bring you to old patches version.
    I think is a mistake in the web page.

    14.3 Client patches are available.  You must download them on the Broadcom Support Portal.  Name of file is sep to 558 client only patches EN.zip

    Although I appreciate that you finally have uploaded the client patches, it would be nice if it included one to cover the case for: Sep64_5587To558_clientDAXMSI.exe. Unless I am missing it, it does not seem to be there. I also know it would be extra packaging but I always wanted Symantec to individually package or in some other way to make the downloads smaller. In other words, just let me downoad the client patch I want and not all of them.

    This is how the client patches will be available from now on. The file I referenced contains all of them. The other two files will not be there shortly as they were uploaded by mistake.

    I just used the client-only patch to upgrade a 14.2.5323.2000 system. After reboot virus and spyware protection is saying Waiting for updates. Why isn't using the defs that are already present?

    Hi, I'm am not sure that's how the client only patches work. It may only be that way when using the install package from SEPM to upgrade the clients. For more info I would open a support case though.

    No, client only-patches usually don't have this problem. I haven't upgraded SEPM yet, but I don't think that should matter.
    Something is always screwed up with Symantec.

    Have had the same problem for about a week now. After using the client only update from version 14.2.2 to 14.3.558, the software says waiting for update for virus definitions, even though the previous client had the current definitions installed.Tried to run current intelligent updater to fix this issue. It failed. Now the system says" Virus definitions are missing or corrupted". Have tried uninstalling and reinstalling client version 14.3.558 several times, all with the same results. Have also tried using CleanWipe to clear out all Symantec remnents that might be causing issue. Today I had to re-image my computer back to when it was functional with earlier endpoint client installed. Used intelligent updater to install current definitions. Worked fine until I upgraded to version 14.3.558, then back to "Missing or corrupt definitions" and not fixable with intelligent updater. Now re-imaging my system again just to have something that works. There is a serous problem in 14.3.558 update, please fix it and release a usable client update patch.

    After I updated my SEPM, it seems to be working. BUT, I still get the messages you are getting after installing the client-only patch and rebooting. After about an hour or so, it does seem to update itself.

    Hi Benjamin,

    I can't let this system try to fix itself as this is an unmanaged standalone system with no network or internet connection (Security Requirement).
    After many attempts to get it working with 14.3.558, I have had to re-image my hard drive (again) and use the 14.2.2 version that still works with the latest virus definitions. I don't know what is wrong with this update, but I have opened a case with Broadcom support to ask for answers. If anyone else figures it out first, please let me know.

    I login to the site and try to find the file but none available.

    Once logged into Broadcom Support Portal you will click Symantec Enterprise Security.




    Then type in Endpoint Protection in the Search box and select it.



    Then select the Support Tab and then Download.

    Select 14.3 under version and then select Endpoint Protection



    Here you will find the Client Patches to download.



    If you do not see this here you will need to call Customer Care at +1-800-225-5224 to get your account fixed.  This is the only location our Client Patches will be hosted from now on.  They will no longer be on the KB you mentioned.
