is it possible to display category name for a blocked URL in access denied page?

You may create a custom exception page and use the code $(cs-categories) for getting category in it.

On WSS denied page i can see it has category by default.

If you are creating custom exception then you can add the variable of your choice like $ (cs-categories),$(BC_exception_rationale) and so on.
