Hi all,

For over a kopple of years now we are working with Ghost Solution Suite 1.0 ( Ghost v. 8.00984)
Very soon we are migrating to the latest version Ghost Solution Suite 2.5.

I would like to ask the specialists if there are any manuals / whitepapers you can direct me to, so we can start reading before we migrate.
Also i remember that when i installed V 1.0 we recieved a GLP license for this version so we could install multiple Ghost Consoles in the several locations we have, with the standard version we recieved back then this was not possible.
Will i need to ask a GLP license now also? or will V 2.5 support multiple installed consoles?

Also if after reading this, you want to share any problems you ran into please share.

You will need to contact our Licensing people to get an updated version of your license. If you have a support contract, this should be a simple procedure. The number for Licensing is 1-888-727-8671. You can indeed install multiple consoles, and this is indeed recommended if you have multiple sites. A GLP license is not required for that, but you will need to monitor your license usage if you end up having a non-GLP license. Note that there is no special licensing for multiple consoles, as the Ghost suite is licensed only by clients. Here are articles on upgrading:

 Hi there,

Well i just migrated 2 of my consoles from version 1.0 -> 2.0 -> 2.5

I imported the same license file and the each console is registered for the max. amount of clients.
Is it true i just have to watch if i will not get over the total ammount of clients in total of all consoles, but in theory can roll-out an unlimited number of consoles with the max clients.

Absolutely. The licenses for the Ghost Solution Suite are for clients only; no license is required or consumed when installing the console, and the console can, in theory, be installed an unlimited number of times. So yes, as long as you keep track of client licenses, everything is okay.

Maybe i can ask you also.
In Ghost --> if i push an image, i cant select --> tell sysprep to perform a SID change anymore, only use ghostwalker, only we never used ghostwalker only select use sysprep to perform a SID change.

Will the SID be changed?

 Hello Can someone please respond to the question i have above also?

I also have other problems with the new Ghost console and would like to know what i can do about it, please see the screenshot, pc's seems to come back several times, and tasks on this computers wont work..
