    Hello,

Opal V2 compliant drive are supported with SEE. However, for the Opal hard drive if you want it to be encrypted with Hardware based Encryption, then these drive has to be whitelisted in the SEE Product registry.

If it's already while listed, then SEE will manage these drive and Encryption will be Hardware based encryption. If it's not whitelisted then SEE will do software encryption i.e. Native SEE encryption on these drive.

Please refer article https://knowledge.broadcom.com/external/article?legacyId=TECH251524 for the supported hardware drive. If the drive is not in the whitelist for SEE and you want it to be Hardware Encrypted then follow the steps mentioned in the article to add the drive to the White list https://knowledge.broadcom.com/external/article?legacyId=TECH235480
