One of the steps after upgrading is to recreate (upgrade) indexes, I wonder if you just have to do that? Page 28 Linux upgrade guide states:
"Note: If you are upgrading your system and you have deployed Exact Data Matching (EDM)
profiles and policies, there is a specific upgrade path you need to perform so that your profiles
and policies update properly. See "Updating EDM indexes to the latest version" in the Symantec
Data Loss Prevention Administration Guide or Updating EDM indexes to the latest version in
the Help."
And Admin guide has the instructions on page 446:
"You must reindex your data and document sources when you upgrade. Before deploying an
index into production, test the updated profile and policies based on the profile to ensure that
they detect data loss as expected on the upgraded system.
Table 21-8 lists the reindexing requirements for updating your EDM and IDM profiles and
provides links for more information."
Good luck,
A.C.

Subject: Upgrade to DLP 15.5 MP2 issue
Hello Team,
We have upgraded DLP end point prevent from 15.5 MP1 to MP2 version. Post upgrade we are unable to view the EDM index page
Manage > Data Profiles > Exact Data
Getting red banner error as : "An unexpected error has occurred. This could be due to one of the following: 1) Your session timed out and you selected a link that was no longer valid, 2) You used the browser back or forward button placing the system into an inconsistent state, or 3) The system experienced a temporary problem."
Any one come across the same issue ?
