O365 not compatible with On Prem DLP 15.5

I have been advised by Broadcom Support that on Prem DLP 15.5 is not compatible with O365 (Cloud) exchange for email notifications etc.. as the port number is different. Suggested fixes have not been successful and are also not supported by Broadcom. 

Has anyone else had this issue? 
I cant imagine that we are unique in in using O365 with on prem DLP? 

Any suggestions?
