Sorry, new Altiris admin and I've had no luck searching this case.
I've made a policy to push out a script to all systems and run it locally. This script generates an output file that I need to get back to a central location and consolidate with all endpoints. Normally, this would be straightforward and I'd copy it to a file share as everyone is on LAN. However, with all the remote workers due to the pandemic, many of which never do a full VPN connection to our network, we are missing too much of the user base.
We have our gateway setup so that our agents can communicate without the VPN connection to bring back standard inventories / etc. Is it possible to take advantage of that communication channel to have the agent grab the file and place it in a central location? Do I need to build a custom data object to store the file in the DB somehow?
This seems like this should be a basic capability that I'm just not understanding / seeing.
