we are trying to configure a root enumeration scan, but we have stumbled over some problems
For the most part, we do not have pure Windows file servers, but NAS file servers. They are somehow attached to the domain via CIFS and can be mounted via UNC. My colleagues are of the opinion that the file shares are not simply visible to all users.
The question now is, what are the requirements to the Windows domain for such a root enumeration scan to be successful at all. How it is made over the Symantec you have described in principle, if the basis would work.....
Are there any definitions for it ?
