Hi,

Could anyone please tell me if Symantec Encryption Desktop, PGP Shred uses a Common Header Block?

Issue:
We have recently migrated our Windows File Servers to Sophos Central (Sophos Anti-Virus 10.8.10.3 with Server Intercept X) and when users now attempt to shred files using the Symantec Encryption Desktop, PGP Shred option to shred files stored on their Home Drives, which are housed on remote file servers, Sophos CryptoGuard is getting in the way. I have raised this with Sophos support and the have asked if a Common Header Block is used when the files are shredded so that they can potentially add it as a CryptoGuard exclusion.

In addition, could anyone please tell me which executable is used to shred the files as we may be able to add it to Sophos as an exclusion?

Thanks & Regards,

Dominic
