We are a small company with just a single Dell server running ESXi7. I added another drive to expand the existing space but getting the error 'failed to expand VMFS datastore' (screenshot below). It shows the added free space but won't let me expand it. I used the terminal session to run the command 'partedUtil getptbl /vmfs/devices/disks/' which shows the error (PuTTY screenshot below). Is it ok for me to run the 'partedUtil getptbl /vmfs/devices/disks/' with 'msdos' option to fix the error without destroying or repartitioning the data on the existing volume?
