Our UIM (version 20.4) subscription/license is set to expire on March 31, 2026, and the contract has not been renewed. Could you please confirm whether UIM will stop functioning immediately on or after the expiry date, or if there is any grace period during which it will continue to work?

The product will continue to work indefinitely, as there is no "kill switch" or technical enforcement of licensing.  Since DX UIM 9.2.0 we have moved to a perpetual license, so there will be no impact to the functionality when the contract expires.

However, the contract is for support and maintenance, so you will be limited only to self-service and community support, and unable to open tickets with Broadcom Support for assistance. You will lose access to Broadcom Technical Support, the Broadcom Support Portal (for downloads), and new security patches or cumulative updates.

Apologies! A slight correction to the response from Jason...

The licensing of DX UIM continues to be a subscription-based model and we would encourage you to renew the contract as soon as possible in order to remain compliant with legal contractual obligations.

Hi Jason & Ravishu,

Thanks for your response.

Understood. Could you please confirm if there is any grace period after the license expiry? If so, how long would it be?

We do not have any grace period for contracts post-expiry. Please reach out to your Broadcom representative to renew your contract at the earliest, and we can offer assistance to plan for upgrading your DX UIM to a supported version.
