I have been working on this all day and it has us stumped.
We have an air gapped, 3 zoned environments with 1 SEPM 14.4 manger per zone. We import the virus defs manually for the time being until we can get some scripts working. We have a mix of Windows and Linux managed clients reporting to the 3 SEPM's. The Windows clients have no issues and are working just fine. The Linux managed clients are another story. All of the Linux clients, except for one, are all reporting a component malfunction - no auto protect. All of the managed Linux clients are checking in with their respective SEPM, they are showing and updating the last scan time and they show and update when virus defs are applied for the Linux machines.
I have run some diagnostics from some searches on the Internet, but nothing solid pointing me to a "smoking gun". Some of the results I have found out so far is the one Linux box working correctly is running RHEL 9.6 "Plow" with the kernel mod 5.14.0-570.12.1.el9_6.x86_64 and all of the others are not working are running RHEL 9.8 "Plow" - kernel mod 5.14.0-678.12.1.el9_6.x86_64. Also, it seems when we try to list the systemctl units for symantec | sav | sep, everything is working except for the sisevt-init.service, this is also not running.
Is there an issue with the RHEL 9.8 Plow and SEP 14.4?
Any advice at this point would be helpful.
