On r11.3 we used SASSBK07-01 report TOTAL JBD ELEMENTS to obtain total number of jobs in CA-7,

from the CA7 backup job output.

How can we do the same on r12.1?

You can run queries to access different information:

Batch job utility -

//*  CA DATACOM MUF MUST BE ACTIVE FOR THIS JOB.

//*

//*****************************************************

//*

//DBSQLPR  EXEC PGM=DBSQLPR,

//         PARM='PRTWIDTH=1500,INPUTWIDTH=72'

//STEPLIB    DD DSN=SYS2A.DATCOM.R151.CA7.CUSLIB,

//           DISP=SHR

//           DD DSN=SYS2A.DATCOM.R151.CAAXLOAD,

//           DISP=SHR

//SYSUDUMP DD SYSOUT=*

//SYSPRINT DD SYSOUT=*

//STDERR   DD SYSOUT=*

//STDOUT   DD SYSOUT=*

//OPTIONS   DD DISP=SHR,DSN=SCHED.INPUT.CARDS(CA7OPT1)

//SYSIN     DD DISP=SHR,DSN=SCHED.INPUT.CARDS(CA7CTS1)

 Sample from SYSIN above:

SELECT COUNT(*) FROM CA7_JOB

WHERE DB = 'CA7DATCOM' ;

SELECT COUNT(*) FROM CA7_DATASET

WHERE DB = 'CA7DATCOM' ;

SELECT COUNT(*) FROM CA7_REQUIREMENT

WHERE DB = 'CA7DATCOM' ;

SELECT COUNT(*) FROM CA7_TRIGGER

WHERE DB = 'CA7DATCOM' ;

SELECT COUNT(*) FROM CA7_QUEUE

WHERE DB = 'CA7DATCOM' ;

SELECT COUNT(*) FROM CA7_ACT_JCL

WHERE DB = 'CA7DATCOM' ;

SELECT COUNT(*) FROM CA7_QUEUE_NAME

WHERE QUEUE < 10 ;

Stephen, I gave it a try but got some errors, apparently has to do with security rules, I will try to solve it or open a case to figure out how. Thank you very much for your help!

The error you are getting is related to security. See KB article link below for information on resolving the security error.

Roderick,

Security block was because I was running from my personal lib, I submitted it from CA-7 this time, and it went successfully!

Thanks Stephen and Rod

Best regards!
