Hi community,
An IDMS client uses the APPC protocol of the SNA architecture to connect IDMS/DC to CICS via a LU6.2 connection .
to do so an ADS or COBOL/DC application is calling an API named APPCSERVM(aster) or APPCSERVS(lave) and transfers data via input/output records.
This API has been developed by a company CPE/Precise in the nineties of previous century.
So old but solid stuff.
This APPCSERVM and APPCSERVS will come to an end of support at the end year 2023.
The IDMS client is seeking for a 'plug and play' replacement meanwhile they modernize their IDMS/DB applications.
My question to the community is: Are there other IDMS users which are using this APPCserver software and so also in a need of replacement before end of 2023?
