Clarity: Subproject Status is not the same as Project Status.

Hello Team,

Clarity SaaS 16.3.2

We are facing a case of that Subproject Status is not the same as Project Status.
Our understanding is the two items are synchronized usually.
What condition does that case occur on?
Is there any setting to synchronize the two status always?

Hi Marubun, can you share screenshots and additional details. Is this the Overall Status on the Project or the Status on the latest status report?

Thank you for your support.

The Status of a subproject on the task screen is supposed to be linked to the Progress Status of the subproject itself, but there are cases where they are not linked. For example, even if the Progress Status is changed to "Started", the Status on the task remains "Not Started".

All of 'Progress Status' fields (進捗ステータス) are 'Started' (開始済み).

'Status' fields (ステータス) are 'Started' (開始済み) or 'Not Started' (開始前).

Marubun, can you check the calculation method for those projects out of sync. The subproject's % Complete and Progress fields can be updated manually if the % Complete Calculation Method = Manual. This is a use case where the sub-project's progress can get out of sync with the parent

We suppose that the statuses in Tasks tag are sychronized to the progress statuses in Projects table as follows.

Regarding for Sample_Project02,

(1) Tasks tag.png: Status is 'Not Started',

(2) Projects table.png: Progress has been changed manually to 'Started', and

(3) Tasks tag updated.png: the Status is changed to be matched to the Progress 'Started'.

 

However there are several mismatches between roject_status_1760426499369.png and  tasks_status_1760426499441.png files.

I ask again.

 

What condition does the mismatches occur on?

Is there any setting to synchronize the Progress and the Status always?

Hi Marubun, do you have audit trail enabled in the task fields? If so can you check for manual changes. Certain manual changes will not replicate if the task is calculated manually

Finish

I can not reproduce the non-replication on the setting in our dev env.

What condition does the non-replication occurs on?

We have tried again to reproduce the non-replication with Audit Trail enabled,
however the non-replication is not reproduced.

Could you provide an example procedure to occur that?

We'd like to understand what setting occurs that.
