For example, we set up a job with password generation on a recurring daily basis.
We also set up an email address in the Monitor settings.

In this case, if an error occurs in the execution of the job, is it correct to assume that an alert email will be sent to the email address that has been set?

Thanks,

No, Credential Management activity will not cause alerts to be sent to the email address in the Monitor settings. For such activities messages will be sent to the configured syslog server and you would have to configure email alerts on the SIEM solution that you send syslog messages to.

You could also configure a scheduled report to have a report emailed:  https://techdocs.broadcom.com/us/en/symantec-security-software/identity-security/privileged-access-manager/4-1-1/administrating/credential-manager-reports/schedule-credential-manager-reports.html

If you schedule the update job(s) to run in the early morning, you can schedule the "Failed Password Updates" report with Quick Dates set to "Today", and  have the report of any accounts that failed the job(s) in your mailbox at start of business every morning.
