Hi,

Some of our users who are using outlook 2016 with dataminder desktop client 14.6 brought to our notice that they have abyssal
performance at times when composing a new message, which improves greatly when disabling the desktop client add-in in outlook. When they compose a new email each
character typed may happen like a half second after they type them, then suddenly there is a burst and they start appearing correctly.

We opened a case with CA Customer support, support comeback saying outlook 2016 with 14.6 client not certified and supported and suggested us to raise an enhancement request. We need outlook 2016 need to be certified with 14.6 client as soon as possible. Please keep up updating on this enhancement request.

Hi Bhaskar,

Support for MS Exchange/Outlook 2016 has been delivered with CA Data Protection 15.2 as of Aug-2016. We do not plan to backport the interop to prior versions of CA Data Protection.

Regards.

CA Data Protection PM Team.

Currently Outlook 2016 is not supported on r14.6.

CA Data Protection in its road-map planned to support Exchange Server 2016, and Outlook 2016 in the next release of the Product version 16.0.

Currently there is no plan to backport the support to r14.6. Do you have any plans to upgrade the product to any of the later versions.
