Remove the need for direct database connectivity from DevTest Workstation

Ever since the introduction of DevTest 8+, every Workstation has had the requirement for direct database connectivity. In v7 and earlier, direct database connectivity was a pre-requisite, but Workstation was able to work without it.

In environments where Workstation is in a protected domain and can't access the database directly, dirty workarounds are needed.

All database fields that Workstation needs to interact with are also seen by Registry, so I would like to see Workstation use middleware calls to access this information rather than have direct database connection.

In restrictive, overly security-conscious environments, it may be very difficult to get the permissions for the the firewalls to be opened this broadly.

And, when NT Authenticated security is used, individual users not having access to the DevTest databases creates a lot of errors in the security logs which creates issues.

This would reduce a firewall rule by one.  Many customer DBAs don't like a wide open database connection.

Also,  if you are running a suite from the workstation,  and the workstation is not able to connect directly to the database,  you wont see the suite level report.
