Hello CA Experts and Product Management,

with CA Service Catalog 14.1, it's not possible to have the selected options in the right column of a dual list automatically sorted A-Z or Z-A. If we have 10-20 selected options in the right column, they will become unclear to user, especially to request fulfiller and can easily lead to human mistakes during request processing.

For this reason we wish to have a feature that allows us to enable the automatic sorting for the right column (A-Z, Z-A). In details:

- User chooses bunch of options on the left side and add to the right side, the selected options shown in the right side should be automatically sorted A-Z (or Z-A) no matter what the selection order on the left side was.

- Furthermore, the selected options on the right side should be stored in the database somehow so they will appear in request detail page in the order A-Z (or Z-A) as well.

Thank you for your consideration.

Best regards

Le Van

I agree there should be more control on this. We have a case open regarding the orderable attribute of the dual list. Our use case is the opposite, we want the user to be able to order the selected values and have the order they select saved to the db. Currently whenever we submit the form the order they input is overwritten to be alphabetical.

I suggest CA improve this function to have the option to order the output manually, a-z, or z-a.
