How about having top impacting alarms in Spectrum Locater searches for Customers.

Say for example :

    1)  Top N  alarms from devices which are more frequently generated.

    2)  Top  N events on devices with maximum occurrence.

    3)  Top N   device models with more than  80% CPU Utilization.

few more  we can introduce based on customers needs.

Report manager gives us these data points,  my idea was to get the real time data points.

Yes Nagesh this is historic Data only, but Report manager will give you the entire list of alarms and events.  the point here is we are going to use real time data to generate top N things.

every time why we need to generate reports to see which are top N events or alarms.

Dear Customer,

these information is available in CA Spectrum ReportManager functionality. Background here why this is not just simple to do so in CA Spectrum Locater search is, that the Locator makes use of the modeling information. The intention for the Locater is to find models per specific search. At technical level the event and alarm information is very different from the modeling information.

Please have a look to the CA Spectrum reporting functionality. Kind regards, Joerg

Right karen_brooks

dinme03 any reason why you would need the same in Locater Search? What value would it bring to customers? This is historic data. Right?

This appears to fall in-line with what can be obtained via Spectrum reporting.
