UIM: Logmon probe, implement variable definitions in MCS

MCS configuration of the logmon probe does not provide an option to define variables and expected values for the variable in watcher rules (available in IM and AC). Variables required to add an additional (beside the pattern) condition for a watcher rule and very useful when defining useful messages.

We need to implement several profiles using variables (for conditions) to thousands of servers.

An example:

Monitor the output of a ping command and send an alert whenever the time exceeds 10ms.

The command could be ‘ping –c 1 <ip>’.

The watcher rule:

Match: /bytes from.*time=([0-9.]+) (.*)/

Variables: time = $1, expect <, value 10

Even when the rule matches the message will be suppressed if the response time is not equal or over 10 (milliseconds).

At the moment, the defined variables are not being displayed in Alarm Message (similar to IM GUI config). This need to be fixed.

Or I might be wrong here... If anyone using the defined variables in alarm message successfully to display the variable information, please let me know.

Thank you.

Looks like they added this in the new UIM 8.4.7 version.
