Could the format of values in Reports, the Web Pages, and Dashboards have the option to be formatted unscaled in formatted plain numbers instead of having units?

For example, they are currently formatted as "1.234 Thousands" or "5.6789 Millions".

Could there be an option have them all displayed as as "1,234" or "5,678,901"?

This would be more compact and would reduce user reading error for users coming from other systems.

This could be done as a settings option, so that users can have which of the two formats they like.

The other thing to bear in mind with this is internationalization and the support of numbers. For example, the handling of thousands separator is different in the US, UK and Europe. The last thing you want is to encounter the "Sidewinder Missile" issue where someone used a "point" (as in a dot) to separate things out and others used commas, and others used spaces. Upon firing of the missile, things start veering off course...

We want it application wide, covering all views, dashboards, and users. However, I think it would be more useful to your customer base if it could be set by each user for themselves.

Hello Michael - Any suggestions on how granular this setting should be - e.g. per view, dashboard, or user?
