Self Monitoring of PAM, Integration With SOI/Spectrum

For many of us who own a few different CA products, it would be great if we can integrate PAM with tools like Spectrum or SOI for alerting purposes.  For example if one of the PAM agents is hung up or a pam process is blocked, we can create an alert to be sent to Spectrum/SOI.  This would also be helpful for failed processes.  Although it is true that a user can design an exception handler to help facilitate this, it would be nice to build it administratively into the tool so that all processes and the general health of PAM can be monitored.

 

Another great integration would be a way to set up alerting thresholds that will alert into SOI/Spectrum if PAM breaches a 'queued process' threshold of sort.

Hi,

 

As mentioned in my earlier post, since we already have a Spectrum connector and this revolves more around the content/process design, moving this idea to "Not planned" state.

Yes. We have certified PAM 4.3.1 with Spectrum 10.x

Is there a connector for PAM 4.2.2 and Spectrum 10.X already?

The intention of the idea is very good. We could probably think of something like a PAM diagnostics which can have different portlets providing information on PAM CPU usage, memory footprint, etc.

We already have a Spectrum connector for PAM so the integration would be a smooth ride but need to understand the exact use cases so that we can understand the business value and prioritize accordingly.

For now, moving this idea to Under Review status.

It would also be helpful to be able to monitor how many processes are running on each orchestrator or agent server to see how the load is distributed within the PAM environment.

This is a great idea to build in delivery protection for these unattended automated processes created by PAM.
