Just throwing an idea out there;

Currently, I am experiencing servers going into maintenance mode via UIM that the alerts are being suppressed but once the server comes out of maintenance mode the alerts seemed to have queued up and are sent to the alarm console once the server is out of maintenance mode.

Would be nice if the alerts generated during the maintenance period were not queued up and not sent to the alarm console once the server is out of maintenance mode - gets very confusing for our NOC team.

It Would also be nice if there was an option for when a server was placed into maintenance mode that it to sent an information message to the alarm console to let our NOC know when a server is going into maintenance mode and when it has come out of maintenance mode.

I agree with Yu_Ishitani

We have seen issues when the alarms didn't come-up in USM during the maintenance window but were queuing-up in the Alarm View and suddenly appear once the robot is off the maintenance mode. The nas probe should block all the alarms coming from devices that are in maintenance mode. In the following document is described the interaction between the nas and maintenance_mode probes during the maintenance window: maintenance_mode (Maintenance Mode) - CA Unified Infrastructure Management Probes - CA Technologies Documentation

The behavior you observed does not seem to what is supposed to be.

NAS will ignore (will not proceed) alarms for device which is in maintenance so these alarms will never be appearing in UIM even after maintenance period is over for the device.
