CAPC Exclude Timeframe for Event Rules

In CAPC there should be the ability to exclude a timeframe to include days of the week and times in the Event Rules.  This would allow for the suppression of events during the excluded timeframe.

Agree.  This would be a good way to view the filtered events.

Hi, I think the filter notifications actions option would work best.  That way we are not getting the notifications but we could still see that the threshold was being breached during the filtered timeframe.

I second this.  If this route is taken, I would like to see in the Event List either a visual feedback (shading) or a new column to indicate the event was 'Filtered' from the Northbound notification.

I’d like the event logged, but suppress the notification.

Hi there - question on this idea ... if we introduce rules such as: Time of Day, Day of Week, Monitoring Status (i.e. Maintenance) --- would you like to filter the creation of the event or filter notification actions? The difference is that that system will generate the event so you have this for future log analytics but the system won't forward to e-mail distribution or your operations tools ... curious what you guys think. - Thanks DH

This is a great idea. Within the IM products, Spectrum and VAIM supports this feature and so should CAPC.
