Tuesday TIP: Using the CA InterTest CICS AUDIT=YES option to see the CA InterTest usage in a CICS region.

Feb 04, 2015 07:16 PM

The CA InterTest for CICS IN25OPTS parameter AUDIT=YES can be used to determine what CA InterTest activity is being done in a particular CICS region. The default for this parameter is AUDIT=NO. To turn this option on you will need to assemble and relink your CA InterTest IN25OPTS option table with AUDIT=YES. IN25OPTS customization is outlined in the Installation guide.

Once AUDIT=YES is turned on messages are written to the CICS MSGUSR showing CA InterTest usage.

In the example messages below CA InterTest is started with a PROMMAC table which contains commands to set basic monitoring on demo programs COBDEMO and ASMDEMO. The following message appear in MSGUSR after these commands are executed.
