The CA SymDump for CICS PLTPI requirements have changed starting in release r 9.1 starting with PTF RO88406. So clients that have upgraded to CA SymDump for CICS r 9.1 should check the CICS PLTPI for program IN25INS1. If the program is present it should be removed from the PLTPI.
Prior to CA SymDump for CICS release 9.1 (FIX RO88406), optional startup PLT program IN25INS1 could be added to the PLTPI to automatically purge old dumps from the PROTDMP data set at PLTPI startup.
The HOLD action on PTF RO88406 instructs the SYSPROG to remove IN25INS1 from the PLTPI since the program is no longer valid.
Below are the details of fix RO88406
APAR #: RO88406
Title: IN25INS1 PLTPI PURGING ALL DUMPS
PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
When IN25INS1 is specified as a PLTPI program, the PROTDMP is purged
according to the 'AUTOMATIC PURGE HOLD DAYS' setting regardless
of how 'AUTOMATIC PURGE OF DUMPS' is set. This can cause unexpected
deletion of dumps.
SYMPTOMS:
All dumps are deleted if IN25INS1 is run as a PLTPI program when
'AUTOMATIC PURGE HOLD DAYS' is set to zero.
IMPACT:
Client dumps are lost.

To Start CA SymDump for CICS at PLTPI startup add program IN25INST AFTER the DFHDELIM in the PLTPI table. This has not changed and has always been the startup program.
