This is another in the series of tips for CA Datacom Core Products Version 15.1 enhancement PTF RO92259.
RO92259 delivers 10 new features.
One of these new features is Multi-User Console-only command ONLINE_AREA_RELEASE .
This command allows to release unused space in a data area without the need to run a DBUTLTY BACKUP/INIT/LOAD .
Use the following syntax in your command to initiate this function from the system console.
►►─ ONLINE_AREA_RELEASE dbid,area-name,percent-of-never-used-space-to-remove ────────►◄
