Tech Tip: Possible E37 space errors when receiving and applying the CA InterTest and CA SymDump v10 Incremental One PTFs.

Sep 27, 2016 11:02 AM

When receiving and applying the CA InterTest and CA SymDump v10 Incremental One PTFs you may encounter space problems. Please see informational solution RI92165 for details. PTF RO91970 for FMID (CAVHA01) requires a significant amount of space when preforming the receive, apply and accept. If your installation has this FMID applied, then it is possible that you will receive SX37-type abends when performing these steps. We expect most installations will need to increase the SYSUT1 allocations as outlined in informational solution RI92165. If CA InterTest and CA SymDump v10 was installed using PDSE datasets, then you may not need to increase the space allocations for datasets PRODHLQ.AAVHDATV, PRODHLQ.CAVHDATV or PRODHLQ.SMPPTS.
