Tech Tip: How is CCILGR STC started?

Feb 26, 2016 04:47 AM

Do you know how is the CCILGR STC started?

You cannot find this information in the CA Common Services documentation.

Here are the explanations:

CCILGR STC is started by ENF. If ENF detects the LOGGER control statement in the CCIPARMS,
an internal CCI spawn service is called to start the CCILGR task.

When ENF stops, it will also shutdown the CCILGR STC.

When the CCILGR STC is stopped (P CCILGR), ENF restarts it automatically. If it is not started automatically,
you can restart it with the ENF command: F ENF,LOGGER

If you want to get rid of the CCILGR STC at ENF start, you have to comment or remove the LOGGER statement
from the CCI parameter file.

If CCILGR STC is up and running and if you want to shut it down and not restart it, you have to CANCEL the task.
