High Impact or Pervasive Software Problems (HIPERs)
A HIPER fix is a software correction that has been determined to be critical to the operation of the product in the majority of customers' environments. HIPERs are typically related to:

Data availability (e.g., the customer's production data is out of use and processing cannot continue until the problem is resolved)

Data integrity or corruption

Production system or subsystem that is down
A HIPER may also be a warning of a potential problem that could negatively impact a large user base. Problems other than data corruption or availability may also warrant HIPER notices.
To register for HIPER notifications:

Login to the Broadcom Support Portal.

In the top right, click on the blue down arrow next to your name.

Click on Notification Settings.

Enter "Datacom" in the Search by Product Name box and toggle the categories for products where you would like to receive notifications (to receive notifications for other Datacom-related products, enter "Ideal," "IPC," or "MetaCOBOL" in the search box).
