    Subject:  General Availability Announcement for OPS/MVS

    On behalf of Broadcom, we appreciate your business and the opportunity to provide you with high-quality, innovative software and services. As part of our ongoing commitment to customer success under the Continuous Delivery model, we are pleased to announce the General Availability (GA) of the following feature PTF:

    OPS/MVS 14.0 - MTC-A OPSLOG Manager and Supporting OPS/MVS REST API (Feature PTF LU06133 and LU06134)

    OPSLOG Manager is the newest component of OPS/MVS MTC-A modern web browser interface. The initial release of the OPSLOG Manager contains the OPSLOG Viewer, which lets users view OPSLOG event logs remotely across LPARs running OPS/MVS.

    The OPSLOG Viewer leverages the new OPS/MVS REST API server that is connected to MTC-A through the Zowe API Mediation Layer (ML). OPSLOG REST APIs will support our strategy on integrating with other Broadcom Mainframe products. In this initial phase, OPSLOG APIs will be leveraged by the Viewer and also used to integrate with Alert Central, providing OPSLOG extracts associated with a specific alert.

    The Viewer provides customers a modern, interactive OPSLOG experience with the following capabilities;

    • View live and active OPSLOGs for a selected OPS/MVS subsystem.
    • User configurable OPSLOG displays.
    • Define and save display profiles that are used to filter the OPSLOG event records.
    • Search for and display only those specific OPSLOG event records that you are interested in.
    • Locate a specific position in OPSLOG for display, based on date and time, or the MSGNO OPSLOG data field.
    • Issue z/OS console command on the LPAR where the selected OPS/MVS subsystem is running.

    Please review the Feature PTF and OPS/MVS 14.0 product documentation for more information on the OPSLOG Manager and OPS/MVS REST API.

    Thank you again for your business.
