The Datacom group is pleased to announce the General Availability of the HOTCOPY enhancement -- the ability to lock the movement of records while a "hot" backup is taken so that when restored and followed by proper running of forward recovery, there is protection against records being "moved" within the file while the backup is taken. This facility is intended for use with non-Datacom utility backups of data areas (for example, IBM's DFDSS).
