The Compliance Event Manager team is pleased to announce our latest enhancements. We encourage all customers to take advantage of these new offerings. To try them out, download the Compliance Event Manager PTF LU08712 from Broadcom Support.

    • Manage system controls and user variables from the UI. Doing so simplifies their management. You no longer need to edit a PDS member and issue console commands to define system controls and user variables.
      • System controls are the optional parameters that define how the listener components (Alert, Logger, Monitor, and Warehouse) run after startup. For example, the Signon Violation Threshold and Count Actions Only Mode. After you have applied the PTF, manage the system controls from the System Settings, Control Options page of the UI. For more information, see Manage the Control Options
      • User variables are site-specific variables that go beyond the product's default event substitution variables. Include user variables in policy actions (email, SIEM, SYSPRINT, WTO) to substitute the variable with values that are unique to your site. For example, create a user variable %MF_SEC_EMAIL_LIST% with a value of "mf_security_pdl@example.com" (the PDL for your Mainframe Security Administrators). Include %MF_SEC_EMAIL_LIST%  in an email action. The email alert that you receive when a security event occurs is sent to all security administrators in the specified PDL. After you have applied the PTF, manage the user variables from the System Settings, User Variables page of the UI. For more information, see Manage the User Variables

    • Export policy set details from the UI. Export policy set details to a Microsoft Excel file from the UI. Previously, export was available through a batch job only. Exporting policy set details lets you provide a physical copy to auditors or to search for criteria across multiple policy sets. Optionally, you can password protect the Excel file for viewing or editing to help prevent post-export file edits. For more information, see Export Policy Set Details Using the User Interface.

    • Improved UI navigation experience:
      • The Search Criteria fields are now automatically expanded by default when you navigate to a page that includes the search function. Previously, the fields were collapsed by default, which made the search criteria difficult for some users to notice.
      • The product includes a new Column Configurator that lets you edit the display of a table. Click the Column Configurator gear icon at the top, right of a UI page. Drag and drop items to rearrange the columns in the table. Use the toggle to add or remove columns from the table as needed.
      • Manage items in a table using a new right-click contextual menu on a table row and selecting the management option (such as View, Edit, Copy, and Delete).
      • To simplify configuration, the PUUID (Policy Universally Unique ID) display setting has moved from the Application Settings page to the Column Configurator of the Statements Overview page. Placing the setting here lets you enable or disable it on demand instead of applying it system-wide.
      • The product replaced the View icon with a hyperlink.

    Thank you!
