In an effort to reduce the number of FMIDs that Compliance Event Manager requires and to ease the effort of deployments and maintenance, Compliance Event Manager now embeds the minimal required functionality from the LDAP Server into a self-contained Policy Server. Previously, Compliance Event Manager required an external LDAP Server, which has its own FMID that you must install and manage separately from Compliance Event Manager.

To migrate Compliance Event Manager from an external LDAP Server to the new Policy Server, apply PTF LU05549 and follow the instructions in the HOLDDATA and in Migrate the LDAP Server to the Policy Server.

After March 31, 2023, support for the LDAP Server in Compliance Event Manager is deprecated. All future features and maintenance will be provided in the Policy Server only. You can continue running Compliance Event Manager using the LDAP Server, but we will not retrofit it with the latest Compliance Event Manager features and maintenance.

To learn more about Compliance Event Manager's future plans for the Policy Server, please attend our next Product Roadmap Session scheduled for May 10, 2023. Please register here.
