CA7 agents

Hi...for CA7 Agents R11.3, in order to configure the agent to behave like legacy remote agent in Unix and windows, the following parameter had to be added to the agentparm.txt:  oscomponent.noexitcode=256

In the CA Agent R12.1 document I only found that for Autosys. Does this mean that for CA7 agent jobs this parameter does not need to be added to the agentparm.txt?

The best practice to determine a good or bad agent job completion based on return codes is by using the EXITCODE keyword at the job level. I would not recommend setting the oscomponent.noexitcode=256 in the agentparm.txt. This is an agent global option, that's not recommended when using CA 7.
