    The Brightside team is pleased to announce the release of Brightside v4.0.5.

    This release includes:

    • Zowe 2.6 enhancements and fixes
      • Zowe CLI v7.9.7 fixes
      • Zowe CLI Imperative Framework v5.7.7 fixes
      • z/OS FTP Plug-in for Zowe CLI v2.1.2 fix
      • DBM for Db2 Plug-in for Zowe CLI v1.24.2 fix
      • Endevor Plug-in for Zowe CLI v7.3.0 enhancements and fixes

    Zowe v2.6 enhancements and fixes

    Zowe CLI v7.9.7 includes the following updates:

    • BugFix: Fixed daemon broken pipe error on Windows. (#1538)
    • BugFix: Removed all line break encodings from strings for `zos-files compare local-file-data-set`. (#1528)

    Zowe CLI Imperative Framework v5.7.7 includes the following updates:

    • BugFix: Exported `AppSettings` for CLI and other apps to use. (#840)
    • BugFix: Exported the IAuthHandler API from the Imperative package. (#839)
    • BugFix: Updated return type of `ProfileInfo.getDefaultProfile` method to indicate that it returns `null` when no profile exists for the specified type. (#916)
    • BugFix: Fixed `ProfileInfo` API failing to load schema for v1 profile when schema exists but no profiles of that type exist. (#645)
    • BugFix: Fixed a logic error where chained command handlers would cause plug-in validation to fail. (#320)
    • BugFix: Fixed `IO.writeFileAsync` method throwing uncatchable errors. (#896)

    z/OS FTP Plug-in for Zowe CLI v2.1.2 includes the following update:

    • BugFix: Updated the `zos-node-accessor` package to 1.0.14 for technical currency. (#127)

    DBM for Db2 Plug-in for Zowe CLI v1.24.2 includes the following update: 

    • BugFix: Fixed content in error messages.

    Endevor Plug-in for Zowe CLI v7.3.0 includes the following updates:

    • Enhancement: Workspace synchronization - support for handling elements that differ by case only. (#340)
      • Filtering by element name is now case sensitive, to be consistent with all other Endevor CLI commands.
    • Enhancement: Refactored JSON response object for workspace actions (#340):
      • Messages array split into errorMessages, warningMessages, and infoMessages.
      • New field "Status" contains the overall result of the command execution, based on the most severe condition encountered (values: FAIL/WARN/SUCCESS).
    • Enhancement: New report download function functionality in the SDK layer. (#340)
    • BugFix: `--data` defaults to `--all` in the `list elements` action when `--rfj` is specified.
    • BugFix: Two subsequent conflict resolutions on the same element caused error 'ENOENT: no such file or directory, open.'
