I don’t know about anyone else, but I could not fathom the custom loadlib approach presented in the R18 standard install process.  As soon I just came to see the #SVCOPT would be assembled outside of SMP/E I knew this approach was never going to work for me.  What is presented here are usermods to replace part of the install JOB3 that is now generated by CAISAG.  Ver. 1.1: Added UMOD for #CTABGEN and corrected some typos in previous comments, may still be useful for 18.0 users. Version 2 (1.4 on the old site) has usermods changed for 18.5 and also includes three CICS usersmods.

Version 3, October 1, 2014 - Added new UMODUCB for UCF Batch to allow RETCD=NO.

my advise would be to never die - never retire - never look for work elsewhere - by installing software in methods no longer  sanctioned by CA you are locking the next poor sucker to take your role potentially clueless - even clear in-house documentation is not the same as calling the vendor for help

i too was embedded in the 17.0 installation paradigm - i went a step further and tried to put EVERY piece of assembled software as a USERMOD -

but now - i just go with the flow - the change was due (from what I understand) to be MSM/CSM compliant - to date i continue to use the "old fashioned" method to install releases of IDMS - and i do not use the custom loadlib - i have too many jobs that would have to be altered - i merely copy the custom loadlib into our "dba" loadlibs (non-CA-delivered software) that each batch job contains ..
