There is some guidance for sizing a CA ALC installation? Any suggestions for Memory, CPU requirements beyond what is necessary for installation?

    Thanks for your help.

    Regards,

    JOHN

System Requirements for ALC can be found in the "Installing" section of the online documentation.  Here is the link:

    https://docops.ca.com/ca-alc/3-0/en/installing/software-requirements#SoftwareRequirements-SystemRequirements

Can you check to see if this is what you needed?

    Thanks

Hi Melinda, thanks for your comment. In fact i'm asking something beyond Base System Requirements. More related to system load based on items number, system integrations or concurrent users sessions. Ex: The default 4 GB for server components is all i need no matter how many users and items?

I hope I have clarified, and again... Thanks for your help.

    Best Regards,

    JOHN

Vaughn has asked if you could provide more specifics - how many current users are you expecting?  He is thinking with this information he can provide a more specific recommendation.

    Let me know about this.

    Thanks

Hi Melinda, thanks for your help.

We are trying to size a new implementation for 30-50 analyst (30 concurrent between Developers, leaders, Product Owners...), and the scope include integrations with CA Harvest SCM and CA SDM.

    Regards,

    JOHN

Vaughn replied back with this recommendation:

I would use a single server config, 16G RAM (or more if there is capacity) and 8 processors.  DB should be on a different machine with at least 32G RAM.

Let me know if this is the information you needed.

    Thanks

Thanks for your help. Is there any sizing tool, or it is fine to ask you every time we need some sizing advice?

    Best Regards.
