  • 1.  ACF2r16 - CICS attribute - CICS v5.4 / CICS v4.2

    While running CICS v4.2 with ACF2r16, some of our IDs that was used for CICS web interface, did not have CICS attribute, but these IDs were able to access CICS [via web interface].
    After upgrading to CICS v5.2 with ACF2r16, the same IDs started failing with ACFAE174. 
    What enhancement / PTF that corrected or enabled this check, posting this question for customer internal documentation / root cause analysis.

    Hi Prem,
    I do not know of any maintenance that would have changed this process.
    Are you using the same attribute bit in this region as in the old region?
    maybe you didn't specify the attribute in the old region?

    If this does not give the answer you need, I would sugegst that you open a 
    support case at support.broadcom.com.
