We are excited to announce the September 2020 Continuous Delivery release of Data Content Discovery! (Fix #SO13332 for Release 3.0)

    This release includes:

    • Focused Auto Scan Policy Results - Auto Scan Policy details will now default to only showing data sources that contain classifier or expression matches.  By breaking matched data sources apart from unmatched data sources, you will now be able to quickly focus on data sources that require remediation.
    • Auto Scan Policy Usability Improvements - DCD will now use integrated caching strategies to drastically improve performance for the largest Auto Scan Policies. Improvements include: Limiting the rows returned, new report filters, expanded sorting and filter capabilities added at the column level, and additional export options.
    • Introduce State Management - State Management will allow you to pause and retain partially created DCD processes, like scan creation.  The product will retain and restore your progress if you need to navigate away.
    • Data in Motion Reporting Enhancements - This release of DCD has a revised Data in Motion Report that focuses on data sources and classifiers and provides substantial performance improvements when reporting on large amounts of Data in Motion scans.
    • CA DCD Repository API's – The product now provides several documented API's allowing you to extract various information from the CA DCD repository, such as Data Source Classification Status.
    • Brazilian Classifiers – DCD now supports several Brazilian classifiers including: Individual Taxpayer Registry ID, IRS Legal Entity (CNPJ) ID, and Voter Registration Card Number. These classifiers are added into the existing Personally Identifiable Information (PII) category under Latin American PII. These classifiers are available from the scan selection wizard.

We encourage all DCD customers to download the most recent DCD v3.0 code and begin using the new features. We also welcome everyone to join us on our End of Sprint calls to provide feedback on these and other features as we continue to rapidly develop DCD – Please contact if you would like to be invited to the next EOS call.
