    Hi,
Performing the upload to IDMS r.19, I detect that the following updates are made in SYSDIRL:
DELETED SR-036 AND ASSOCIATED RECORDS (3)
    DELETED INQ-058 AND ASSOCIATED RECORDS
As recommended, we have a single SYSDIRL common to all tps. I understand that this update does not affect those tps that have not yet been uploaded to r.19 (they are on r18.5)
    True?

    Regards.

Unless things have changed greatly - Running IDMSDIRL deletes those objects – but then re-adds them – but upgrading your ONLY SYSDIRL ddldml means that ALL CVs relying upon contents residing in SYSDIRL are affected

    Any CA-supplied culprit reporty ... (s j a reports etc)

    Perfmon reports (pmarpt reports)

Any customized reports or anything else (like special dictionary subschema)- unless you back them up first and them reload

The bottom line is – yes all CVs live or die by the common SYSDIRL

    Thanks Chris.

I have not explained well. I already know that if the SYSDIRL is common, all tps have those definitions in r.19. What I am wondering is if, as on other occasions, and leaving aside the REPORTS, the tps in r18.5 may have failures.
That is to say, if it is 'downwards' compatible  as are the modules that are refreshed by CAIRIM.

    Regards and good health!

All I can say is ..... I have never run into a case where the dictionary schema records, as stored in SYSDIRL, at version 19 (or any other version) caused problems for any other CV at an earlier release using the same SYSDIRL ....
